As the torrential rains continue to wreak havoc Across Balochistan, stories are emerging of thousands of people stranded, their homes destroyed. One such person is musician Wahab Bugti.
The ‘Kana Yaari’ singer and his family have been affected by flooding in Dera Bugti and need help. Companion Coke Studio Artist Kaifi Khalil and activist Muniba Mazari are among those calling on the public to help him and his family.
Khalil broke the news on his Instagram Stories on Sunday and asked his followers to help out as much as they could. “Please help him koyi bhi in say nazdeek rehta hai ya in k touch main hain [whoever lives nearby or is touch with him] many more prayers for you Wahab bhai,” he wrote.
A Khalil representative said Pictures that they spoke to Bugti and verified that he was indeed affected by the floods. The musician is currently staying with his friend, as his house was hit by water.
Along with her first Instagram Story, Khalil also shared Bugti’s number for immediate help via Jazz Cash. However, it has not been verified whether this account belongs to him. He did, however, share Bugti’s bank account number on Twitter. The account is in the name of Abdul Wahab.
Activist Mazari shared a photo of the singer with his family surrounded by floodwaters on Twitter.
She also shared Bugti’s number for her followers to help the musician. “Let us help in any way we can. May Allah make it easy for all of us,” she wrote, tagging Coke Studio producer and musician Xulfi and thanking him for his help.
Pictures contacted the singer but could not reach him.
