City of Oak Ridge offices and facilities will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Oak Ridge Public Library and Book Depository, Oak Ridge Civic Center and Indoor Pool, Senior Center and Scarboro Center will be closed over the weekend, Thursday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 27 , according to a press release.
The Tennessee Centennial Golf Course will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, only and will reopen on regular schedule on Friday, November 25.
The Oak Ridge Animal Sanctuary will be closed Thursday and Friday but will be open Saturday, Nov. 26, as usual, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the statement said.
Regular household garbage and recycling will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day, and the Waste Connections Convenience Center will also be closed. Due to the holidays, garbage collection from Thursday will move to Friday and Friday collection will move to Saturday.
Police and firefighters will continue to operate as normal, the press release said. Emergencies can be reported by calling 911. The non-emergency line is (865) 425-4399.
Customers can continue to make utility payments online by visiting https://customerservice.oakridgetn.gov/ or by phone 24/7 by calling (833) 268-4341 (your six-digit account number is required). Customers can also use the nightly drop box located in the parking lot at 200 South Tulane Avenue, or payments can be mailed to PO Box 1 Oak Ridge, TN 37831.
