Tanla Platforms’ wholly owned subsidiary Karix Mobile has announced the launch of a WhatsApp Live Train Status (LTS) service for redBus as part of its redRail program.
This service would allow visitors across India to access all intercity passenger trains in the country via WhatsApp for up-to-the-minute information on their location, running status, ticket confirmation and arrival.
Travelers can also use the redRail service to track their live location on the road and share it with family and friends. WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging networks in the world, with millions of Indian users.
As a result, it was an easy option as the platform of choice for implementing LTS. Since the service is based on WhatsApp, no additional software other than WhatsApp needs to be installed.
The Karix-powered WhatsApp business platform enables the redRail LTS service to initiate customer interactions and forward customer-initiated messages to the redRail platform to process incoming customer requests.
Additionally, the powerful WhatsApp platform supports the redRail mission by providing increased delivery rates, enhanced analytics, and a 3D view of all conversations in progress with consumer ROI metrics.
To use the redRail service, passengers only need to send a WhatsApp message to the number. As a result, a chatbot flow is initiated, asking the user to provide their reservation PNR or the train number that needs to be monitored.
At around 1:35 p.m., Tanla Platforms was trading at Rs 814.90 per coin, down 1.78% from its previous close of Rs 829.65 on BSE. The certificate touched the intraday high and low of Rs823 and Rs795.55 respectively.
