Now, after dialing one of the numbers mentioned above, an SBI customer must press certain digits to benefit from the services. An SBI client must press 0 to block the card. Now you have to press 1 to block the debit card using the registered cell phone number and card number. You can press 2 to block the card using the registered mobile number and the account number.
In order to block the debit card using the account number, you need to follow some simple steps. They are as follows:
Step 1: You must enter the last five digits of the account number to block the card
2nd step: You must press 1 to confirm the last five digits
Step 3: You must now press 2 to re-enter the last five digits of the account number
Once these steps are completed, the debit card will be blocked successfully. Note that a blocking confirmation will be sent by SMS to the registered mobile number.
Now, if you want to request a replacement card, you have to follow these steps, or the customer can press 7 and 8 for the previous menu and the main menu, respectively:
Step 1: Press 1 to request a replacement card
2nd step: The customer must enter the year of birth
The card will be sent to the registered address and the card replacement fee will apply. Now you have to press 1 to confirm and in case of cancellation of the request, you have to press 2. The confirmation will be sent by SMS to the registered mobile number.
If an SBI customer remembers the last five digits of the ATM card, they can block the debit card by following these steps:
Step 1: We must enter the last five digits of the ATM card, we want to block
2nd step: Now you have to press 1 to confirm
Step 3: Now the person must press 2 to re-enter the last five digits of the ATM card to be blocked
